MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR I
Responsibilities
- Support installing, servicing, and repairing mechanical equipment.
- Support activities related to the maintenance, repair, and service of plant equipment, buildings, and facilities.
- Plan, organize and direct the manufacturing and maintenance operations to ensure the most effective return on assets.
- Initiate plans and processes to minimize manufacturing costs through effective utilization of manpower, equipment, facilities, materials, and capital.
- Utilize working knowledge of electrical systems, both control and industrial wiring, pip fitting, plumbing, welding, shop machinery, sheet metal, hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical controls, and instrumentation to maintain plant equipment at optimal level.
- Utilize knowledge of automatic equipment operation to include setup, repair, and tear down in order to maintain plant equipment at optimal levels, inspecting completed work for conformance to blueprints, specifications, and standards.
- Maintain the plant Preventative Maintenance Records.
- Send out maintenance schedules on a weekly basis.
- Responsible for all physical plant facilities, systems, and equipment.
- Identify and monitor issues as they arise and implement solutions.
- Participate in ongoing support of the Processing Operating System.
- Ensure safety compliance for buildings, equipment, and staff.
- Interpret company policy and enforce company policy and practices.
- Analyze and resolve work problems or assist in solving work problems.
- Maintain production equipment in a manner that meets organization standards and ensures minimum equipment downtime.
- Requisition tools, equipment, and supplies.
Qualifications
- Must be Ammonia certified.
- Must be certified in refrigeration.
- Welding and fabrication experience required.
- Minimum 5 years maintenance experience, preferably in a food processing plant, but experience in a highly regulated large industrial or manufacturing environment will be considered.
- Extensive experience maintaining & managing building services/systems using contractors & staff.
- Experience with quality improvement and risk management processes an asset.
- High School Diploma/GED equivalent required; college degree preferred.

- Base salary range of $70,000 - $80,000;
- Incentive Pay: This position is eligible to participate in the Company’s quarterly bonus plan, the amount of bonus varies and is subject to the standard terms and conditions of the incentive program.

Schedule
The applicant who fills this position may be required to travel at some point to other facilities, to attend Company events, or as a representative of the Company in other situations.
