About The Role

We are looking for a proactive leader to oversee the day-to-day execution of maintenance work in the field. In this role, you will be responsible for streamlining maintenance work processes, managing shutdown planning, and ensuring your team has the resources and job plans needed to succeed safely. By balancing union contract administration with strategic inventory management, you will play a key role in reducing emergency work and optimizing equipment performance.

Responsibilities

  • Drive the continuous effort to reduce the volume of emergency work while increasing the volume of predictive and preventative maintenance work.
  • Supervise the execution of predictive and preventative maintenance plans with corresponding work instructions to ensure adherence.
  • Adhere to the maintenance execution work process.
  • Supervise the execution of maintenance work in the field.
  • Strive to eliminate rework.
  • Understand, interpret, and administer the union contract agreement.
  • Aim to reduce maintenance costs and ensure timely reporting of expenditures.
  • Strive to improve equipment uptime, quality, and speed rates.
  • Manage a team of multi-disciplined skilled tradesmen effectively.
  • Work closely with operations, engineering, and EHS to schedule maintenance around production needs.
  • Support shutdown planning, equipment outages, and major repairs.
  • Ensure spare parts availability and coordinate with the storeroom for inventory management.
  • Review and approve work permits, job plans, and contractor scopes.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED); or an equivalent combination of education and directly related on the job experience
  • Minimum 5 yrs related experience in industrial setting.
  • Supervisory experience in an industrial/manufacturing setting

Qualifications

  • Proven track record of successful project management and leadership.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
  • Experience with union contract administration and strategic inventory management.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Benefits

Compensation: $110,000-125,000 annually (depending on experience)
