Maintenance Supervisor
About the role
Applies continuous quality improvement principles to measure, monitor, and assess service effectiveness and potential adverse effects. Facilitates the planning, development, and implementation of programs and services for areas of responsibility, collaborating with other departments as necessary. Develops tracking systems for product usage, inventory management, and an annual budget to support needs, demonstrating cost-effectiveness through efficient resource use. Develops and maintains maintenance manual records for all preventative maintenance, repairs, pool test results, and data required by OSHA, State, and County regulations. Provides scheduled pool maintenance to ensure optimal function and cleanliness. Reports and documents all equipment repair or replacement needs immediately to the Dept leadership. Coordinates and oversees any outside services needed for repairs and maintenance of equipment and the facility. Develops and implements an emergency plan and procedure manual for facility support systems, providing emergency response training to ensure a safe environment.

- Prioritizes, coordinates, and assigns work through verbal instructions, hospital work requests, and upper management requests.
- Maintains and monitors routine and preventative maintenance activities to ensure utilities, environmental systems, and other building systems operate properly and efficiently.
- Leads and facilitates departmental and organization-wide compliance with all life safety codes, infection control, environment of care, legal, and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
- Computer skills required (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Exceptional organizational skills required.
- Ability to have flexible work hours based on job assignment completion.
- Must be self-motivated.
- Knowledge of ordering parts and supplies related to building maintenance and repairs.
- Ability to prioritize assignments.
- Competency for knowledge of and implementation of regulatory requirements from DNV, AHCA, OSHA, NFPA and other health care related agencies.
- Mastery of pool chemical and pump operation.
- Read and interpret blueprints.
- Ability to use the internet to find technical information to assist in troubleshooting equipment repairs.
- PeopleSoft work order management system.
Qualifications
- High School Grad or Equiv or 5+ years of relevent experience.
- 4+ experience in health care engineering or any combination of education, training or experience that provides the knowledge, skills and abilities required to successfully accomplish the assigned duties and responsibilities of the position upon hire.
- 4+ supervisor or higher experience in a healthcare environment.
