Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and assist in the electrical, PLC, pneumatic, and general repair by maintenance of all equipment.
- Ensure preventative maintenance of equipment is performed within manufacturers specifications.
- Ensure personal and associate awareness and understanding of ISO 14001 and IATF 16949 (includes ISO 9001) Standards, and company policies and procedures.
- Assigning tasks to maintenance technicians on a daily basis.
- Responsible for tracking Maintenance Technician work schedules and entering time into the payroll system.
- Coinciding all Technician activities of the maintenance department.
- Comply with established rules, procedures, and Health and Safety Mandates.
- Ensure equipment is in good mechanical condition to provide safe operation.
- Oversee the Preventive Maintenance System including printing, closing, and monitoring PM completion status.
- During management system audit events provide evidence in support of conformance with applicable standards and procedures and participate in corrective action activities as necessary.
- Spill procedures/ Transfer of Hazardous Materials.
- Oversee Contractors during install and repair of equipment.
- Ensure that all employees receive proper training and understand all job tasks and act as a trainer in various areas of expertise.
- Ensure that all employees comply with the Occupational Health & Safety Act.
- Ensure that a clean and safe work environment is always maintained.
- Assist in any way to any employee, necessary to promote a successful operation emphasizing customer satisfaction.
- Promote an atmosphere of teamwork at all times.
- Abide by the Company Value Statement and the Company Standard Code of Conduct.
- Complete any other duties as assigned.
Health & Safety Responsibilities
- The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for complying with the Company Health & Safety Program including Occupational Health & Safety Legislation, regulations, standards, and Company Health & Safety policies.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience We're Looking For
- Must possess a secondary school diploma or equivalent.
- Must have 8 -10 years process control and troubleshooting experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership capacity.
- Experience with PLC (Rockwell, Omron), Robotics (ABB, FANUC) is preferred.
- Ability to communicate effectively both written and verbal.
- Have an excellent working knowledge and understanding of all equipment and computer.
- Knowledgeable in integrated manufacturing technology as it relates to the facility.
- Country specific Hazardous Communications (SDS, HAZCOM).
- Quality, Environmental Health and Safety and other relevant Company policy awareness.
- New Employee Orientation.
- Lock Out / Tag Out.
- Transportation of Dangerous Goods.
- Lift Truck Certification.
- Understanding of expectations detailed through Organization Statements, Standards, Visions, Policies and Procedures (i.e. Mission, Values, Code of Conduct, Operational, Quality, and Environmental Health & Safety) as referenced in Employee Handbooks and communicated through Orientation and/or other training awareness opportunities.
- Additional training requirements may be identified based on plant-specific location and/or operational needs that are commensurate with the duties, expectations, and responsibilities of the role within the specific plant.
- Ability to perform well in high pressure situations.
- Possess sound financial and business insights.
- Meets expectation rating (rating score of 2 or 3) in all applicable Competencies as defined in the Performance Management Process.
- Capable of independent travel to, from and within designated regions.
- Access to reliable transportation.
- Must be capable of performing the essential duties which include maximum safe lifts to the - 75th percentile of the employee as determined by acceptable standards.
- Must be able to be a leader to all employees.
