Job Description

Maintenance Supervisor
Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepares work schedules, assigns work and oversees the work product while minimizing overtime and call-in hours.
  • Counsels and manages performance of direct reports (skilled trades).
  • Develops and maintains a preventative maintenance schedule program for applicable equipment and machinery.
  • Arranges for and manages appropriate third-party contractor support as needed.
  • Prepares budgets and secures estimates and cost quotes as needed.
  • Enforces sound safety and housekeeping practices.

Required Skills:

  • Minimum of six years’ related experience.
  • Successful completion of an accredited management training program.
  • Previous supervisory experience.

Required Education:

  • High school or trade school diploma.

Responsibilities

As a Maintenance Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing work schedules and assigning tasks to maintain efficient operations.
  • Managing and coaching direct reports to ensure they meet performance expectations.
  • Developing and implementing a preventative maintenance plan to keep equipment running smoothly.
  • Coordinating with third-party contractors to provide necessary support.
  • Creating and managing budgets, securing estimates, and obtaining cost quotes.
  • Ensuring adherence to safety and housekeeping standards.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • A minimum of six years of relevant experience.
  • A proven track record of successful management and leadership.
  • A strong background in maintenance and repair of mechanical systems.
  • Experience working with skilled trades personnel.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.

Qualifications

We are looking for candidates who possess:

  • An accredited management training program.
  • Previous supervisory experience.
  • A high school or trade school diploma.
