About the Role
The Maintenance Supervisor oversees all Production Control functions, Quality Control, and Technical Inspection functions for this effort.
Responsibilities
- Assists the Maintenance Manager in ensuring personnel are properly trained, setting their priorities, and monitoring their efforts.
- Supervises the planning and scheduling of maintenance workloads with Section Leads to optimize use of resources, including personnel, time, tools, equipment, and facilities.
- Monitors the flow of parts requests and ensures shop production timelines are met.
- Implements and monitors the maintenance support program, including Modification Work Order (MWO) management, Warranty Program, Test, Measurement and Diagnostic Equipment (TMDE), and Army Oil Analysis Program (AOAP).
- Directs the establishment and operation of shop stock and bench stock lists for field repair and maintenance-related operations.
- Formulates policies, procedures, and coordinates staff functions related to logistics-associated activities.
- Establishes internal procedures to receive, issue, and store tools, parts, publications, Hazardous Materials, and POL products.
- Establishes and enforces shop environmental practices, especially those involving the handling of waste and hazardous material.
- Analyzes maintenance data, maintenance schedules, production, and performance trends, adjusting short-term priorities as necessary.
- Establishes employee work schedules, deadlines, and production/inspection priorities based on maintenance status, mission requirements, and other demand needs with Section Leads.
- Makes decisions on work problems presented by subordinate personnel and establishes performance standards.
- Conducts annual evaluations on subordinate personnel.
- Evaluates requirements for additional resources.
- Manages and plans a quality assurance program using accepted procedures such as statistical computations and data collections.
- Provides preventative maintenance for all equipment associated with maintenance performance where applicable.
- Maintains shop housekeeping and physical image of the shop.
- Performs other duties as required to support the mission and contractual requirements.
Requirements
- Minimum five (5) years of supervisory experience.
- Successfully pass background and drug screening.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Management or other related discipline from a recognized and accredited institution.
Skills
- Comprehensive knowledge of governing regulations, policies, procedures, and instructions in applicable supply and maintenance management.
- Comprehensive knowledge of supply and maintenance management processes, related regulations, and effective execution of the function.
- Operational skills and knowledge of Maintenance automated Logistics systems under Global Combat Support System - Army (GCSS-Army) Plant 2000.
- Operational skill and knowledge of automated supply systems utilized.
- Skills in using various computer and software applications, including word processing programs, spreadsheets, email services, databases, and database management.
- Ability to perform statistical and quality data analysis evaluation to determine compliance with contractual requirements.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills; proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to complete and prioritize tasks on multiple concurrent projects within given timeframes.
- Ability to work well in a team environment and with a diverse group of people.
- Discretion and trustworthiness due to frequent contact with confidential material.
- Ability to communicate courteously and professionally with co-workers, management, clients, and others.
- Ability to conform with and abide by all regulations, policies, work procedures, and instructions.
Physical Demands
- Sufficient fine motor skills for use of computers and calculators, including the ability to withstand repetitive keyboarding for extended periods.
- Visual, auditory, and communication abilities sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job.
- Ability to kneel, bend, and twist at the waist on an occasional basis.
- Ability to push, pull, carry, and lift objects weighing up to 25 pounds on a regular basis and more on an occasional basis.
- Ability to travel by plane and safely operate a motor vehicle.
