Maintenance Supervisor
About the role
We're seeking a skilled Maintenance Supervisor to lead the day-to-day maintenance operations and ensure compliance with Avenue5 policies and regulations. Key responsibilities include managing the maintenance team, responding to maintenance issues, and overseeing property emergencies.
Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with Avenue5 risk management program
- Contribute to property budget adherence
- Manage daily maintenance tasks and service requests
- Review and track maintenance progress
- Perform various maintenance functions including repairs and carpentry
- Oversee property emergencies and respond promptly
- Maintain safety and cleanliness standards
- Communicate effectively with property manager and maintenance team
- Mentor the maintenance team
- Administer company risk management program
- Complete special projects as assigned
- Solicit and monitor suppliers and contractors
- Collaborate with property leadership on challenges and operations
- Ensure maintenance costs remain within budget
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least three years of experience in property management or related field
- General maintenance and carpentry skills
- Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and current auto insurance
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to read, write, and understand English
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
- Ability to perform basic mathematical functions
- Ability to cope with and defuse difficult situations
- Professional appearance and uniform compliance
- Completion of Avenue5 Fair Housing, Diversity and Inclusion Training within 30 days of employment
