Primary Responsibilities
- Ensure a safe, clean, and environmentally compliant work environment to foster a safety-first priority.
- Complete safety audits.
- Enforce and comply with all OSHA standards and company safety policies and procedures, including Lockout/Tagout, Confined Space, Electrical Safety, Arc Flash, Elevated Working Surfaces, Hazard Communication (SDS), Hot Work, and Process Safety Management.
- Investigate all work-related injuries and illnesses.
- Identify opportunities to enhance efficiencies, streamline processes, and leverage resources to reduce costs.
- Coordinate activities with any related departments.
- Conduct root cause analysis on chronic maintenance issues or repairs.
- Execute effective preventative maintenance and work order program.
- Ensure the plant needs for maintenance services are prioritized and managed.
- Oversee equipment maintenance of all mechanical operations at the facility.
- Provide candid feedback on expectations and performance to members of the team on a regular basis and drives appropriate actions for further improvement.
- Implement and document corrective action when performance issues occur.
- Approve employee timecards in payroll system.
- Recommend purchase of necessary supplies, equipment, parts, and materials.
- Record and maintain inventory of repair parts and materials.
- Initiate purchase requisitions in ERP system.
- Coordinate, schedule, and oversee contractors for project work.
- Prepare and maintain maintenance reports and records.
- Investigate and eliminate maintenance variability resulting in downtime and/or below standard measurements to determine remedial action.
- Work closely with the Production Department to continuously improve machine performance and efficiency.
- Communicate with equipment manufacturers, regulatory agencies, parts suppliers, production leads and managers to optimize plant performance.
- Work closely with vendors to meet deadlines and complete capital improvement projects.
- Must be flexible to work any shift and weekends as needed.
- Work in managing and developing CCMS system.
- Up to 10% of travel.
Experience
- Minimum of 3 years supervisory experience in a manufacturing setting.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- General knowledge of advanced mechanical, bearing and pump experience, and pneumatic skills.
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, communication, problem solving and decision-making skills, as well as initiative and the ability to delegate decision making and other responsibilities.
- Ability to handle multiple time sensitive projects and issues.
- Must work well under pressure.
- CMMs experience, proactive maintenance planning experience.
- Computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word & Excel).
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from members of management.
- Ability to read metric drawings, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic diagrams.
Education, Licenses & Certifications
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering or equivalent combination of training and experience.
