Maintenance Supervisor

About the role

The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for planning and organizing the work of the maintenance staff to achieve and maintain efficient operation of the facility and all equipment. They are responsible for daily facility maintenance and preventive maintenance. Prioritize and schedule necessary maintenance equipment and activities based on PM schedule and/or production need. Monitor and measure work of staff to ensure quality and pursue continuous improvement. Plan, schedule, and direct external contractors in the maintenance of buildings and grounds. Work with management and other departments to implement equipment changes, staffing adjustments and maintenance support needs.

Responsibilities

• Plan and assign specific work to maintenance mechanics and support personnel for all shifts.
• Maintain spare parts and inventory.

• May be involved in building renovations; ensure that renovations occur within budgeted levels and conform to company specifications.

Requirements

• Minimum five (5) years facility/maintenance experience in food production environment or manufacturing environment required.
• Previous supervisory experience preferred.
• Experience in Instrumentation Controls preferred.
• Experience with forklift repair required.
• A High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Qualifications

• An adequate knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec.

Skills

• Facility/Maintenance experience in food production environment or manufacturing environment.

• Forklift repair experience.

Pay

Salary range 005: $84,200-$105,200 (Salary will be determined based on skills, education, training & experience related to the position.)

Schedule

Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 7am-4pm with flexibility needed for operational needs.

Shift

Shift: 5-2-2-5; 1 month days/1 month nights 6:00-6:00
