About the role

The Maintenance Supervisor directs day-to-day activities and assigns tasks to coordinate Machine Maintenance and Electro/Mechanical Tech resources, supporting the plant as required. This position is expected to make continuous improvement recommendations to enhance processes and systems corporate-wide. The role assists production management in the maintenance, training, and operation of equipment and is responsible for all activities and personnel associated with maintenance functions at an Ashley location, which may include building, machine, and support groups.

Responsibilities

  • Direct and assign day-to-day maintenance tasks.
  • Coordinate Machine Maintenance and Electro/Mechanical Tech resources to support plant operations.
  • Recommend continuous improvements for processes and systems.
  • Assist production management with equipment maintenance, training, and operation.
  • Oversee all maintenance-related activities and personnel at the assigned location.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (Required).
  • Associate Degree in Supervisory Management or related field (Desired).
  • 2 years of experience in a manufacturing or distribution center environment (Required).
  • Previous supervisory experience (Required).
  • Experience with manufacturing or warehouse equipment and department processes (Required).

Work Environment

This position is located in an active industrial manufacturing and distribution center with moderate to high noise levels, temperature variations, and operational material handling equipment. The role may require extended periods of standing or walking on concrete floors and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses and steel-toed boots. The fast-paced environment involves time-sensitive and safety-sensitive operations and may include various shift schedules to support production and distribution needs.
