Maintenance Shop Technician A
About the role
The Maintenance Technician A works under the supervision of a Lead Technician, Fleet Maintenance Supervisor, or Maintenance Manager. This role involves performing repair and maintenance tasks on various types of vehicles including diesel and non-diesel trucks.
Responsibilities
- Maintain advanced knowledge and proficiency in various vehicle components and systems, including chassis components, refuse bodies, air and hydraulic braking systems, engines, suspensions, drivetrains, steering systems, heating and air conditioning systems, and aftertreatment systems.
- Diagnose and repair multi-system issues using a variety of electronic tools.
- Complete applicable Company training programs.
- Perform line maintenance, welding, and fabrication.
- Identify and resolve electrical concerns using scan tools.
- Complete other job-related duties as assigned or apparent.
Qualifications
- Ability to diagnose and repair multi-system issues independently.
- 5-7 years of experience as a technician working on heavy-duty trucks.
- Strong skill proficiency in the following systems: Suspensions & Steering, General Engine, Transmissions, Brakes, Electrical, Hydraulics, Drive Train, Diesel Emissions.
- ASE Heavy Truck Certifications (T1-T8) are preferred but not required.
- LNG and/or CNG experience is preferred but not required.
- A Class B or higher Commercial Driver’s License is preferred but not required.

Pay
The pay range for this position is $28.50 to $39.22* which reflects the minimum wage in multiple jurisdictions. The actual range will depend on the locality in which you are hired.
