Description of Work
This position focuses on skilled maintenance and repair work across many types of equipment, buildings, and systems to keep the Ebensburg Center operating safely and efficiently.
- General Repairs: Perform skilled tasks involving carpentry, masonry, painting, and related trades
- Equipment Upkeep: Maintain and repair a wide variety of mechanical and electrical equipment
- Adaptive Equipment: Assemble, repair, and fabricate adaptive equipment for individuals at the Center
- HVAC and Plumbing: Service heating, cooling, drainage, and water systems to keep operations safe
- Grounds Work: Carry out seasonal outdoor tasks such as snow removal, lawn care, and debris cleanup
- Preventive Maintenance: Complete routine inspections, cleaning, and adjustments to reduce equipment failures
Work Schedule
- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, hours may change based on operational needs
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position
- Travel and Overtime as needed
Qualifications
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Two years of experience as a Maintenance Repairman 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- Four years of experience in building and plant maintenance work, which has involved at least two of the building, electrical, or mechanical trades; or
- Any equivalent combination of experience and training that affords the applicant with the Required Knowledges, Skills, and Abilities
Special Requirement: This position requires possession of a valid Pennsylvania Class C Driver's License.
