Maintenance Repairman 2 (Central Office Maintenance Division)

We are seeking a Maintenance Repairman 2 to join our Central Office Maintenance Division at the Northwest Office Building in Harrisburg. This full-time, hands-on role supports the safety, comfort, and reliability of the building in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform a wide range of building tasks including painting, masonry, plumbing, electric, and carpentry.
• Operate and maintain chillers, cooling towers, air conditioning units, and control systems to ensure comfort and energy efficiency.
• Inspect tools, machinery, and mechanical systems for defects and make repairs or adjustments in line with safety standards.
• Install, repair, and move office furniture, modular systems, partitions, blinds, and window treatments.
• Respond promptly to building maintenance emergencies and participate in fire safety activities as directed.

Requirements

• Two years of experience as a Maintenance Repairman 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
• Four years of experience in building and plant maintenance work, which has involved at least two of the building, electrical, or mechanical trades; or
• Any equivalent combination of experience and training that affords the applicant with the required knowledges, skills, and abilities.
• Must meet Pennsylvania residency requirements.
• Must be able to perform essential job functions.
• Must pass a background investigation. Applicants with a felony conviction within the last ten years of their prospective date of employment are not permitted to work for the PLCB. Other criminal convictions will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.

Schedule

• Full-time, Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM.
• No telework option available for this position.
