Maintenance Porter - Driving

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and cleaning tasks as per checklists and facility manager/supervisor directions.
• Walk the garage daily to identify and correct maintenance issues.
• Sweep, pick up, and clean around entrances, exits, stairwells, rails, booths, offices, and restrooms.
• Empty trashcans in the garage, booth, and office.
• Paint facility areas as directed to maintain neat and clean surfaces.
• Replace burned-out bulbs and apply oil absorbent to spills.
• Submit repair and maintenance requests.
• Check safety items like gate arms and ensure proper operation of ticket spitters and gates.
• Provide ticket and gate counter records to the Manager.
• Maintain inventory of janitorial supplies and a garage/lot sweep sheet.
• Operate sweepers, scrubbers, and outdoor equipment like weed eaters and lawnmowers.
• Clear snow from ramps and designated areas using shovels, snow blowers, and light equipment.
• Report violations, safety hazards, or unusual occurrences to the Facility Manager.
• Assist customers and resolve complaints independently or with supervision.
• Cover other duties like cashier or attendant as needed.
• Maintain a neat appearance and wear a complete uniform during shifts.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Facility maintenance, electrical, or painting experience/skills may be required depending on the job and facility.
• Valid state-issued driver’s license with a current address and acceptable driving record.
• Availability to work special shifts, including 3rd shift and/or weekends, as needed.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Positive customer service attitude and ability to respond to requests.
• Adaptability to changes and unexpected events.
• Sound judgment and professionalism under pressure.
• Ability to read, write, and interpret English.
• Physical ability to lift and move 50 pounds or more, stand/walk for long periods, and perform tasks requiring bending, stooping, and climbing.
• Ability to work in extreme weather conditions and with dust, chemicals, and irritants.

Pay

$22.00 per hour

Schedule

Tuesday-Saturday, 4:00 PM - 12:30 AM
