About the role
The Maintenance Planner & Storeroom Coordinator is responsible for developing clear, detailed maintenance job-plans and ensuring the availability, accuracy, and organization of spare parts and materials. This role supports equipment reliability by preparing technicians with the right information and resources while maintaining a well-run, audit ready storeroom.
Responsibilities
- Develop detailed job plans for preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance work
- Define task steps, required labor skills, estimated labor hours, tools, materials, permits, and safety considerations
- Ensure all required parts and materials are identified and staged prior to job execution
- Maintain accurate asset information, job histories, and documentation within the CMMS
- Review completed work orders to improve future job plans and identify recurring issues
- Support reliability initiatives by analyzing maintenance history and recommending improvements to PMs, BOMs, and asset documentation
- Maintain accurate inventory levels of spare parts, consumables, and critical spares
- Receive, inspect, label, and store incoming materials following established procedures
- Issue parts and tools to maintenance personnel and record all transactions in the CMMS or inventory system
- Conduct regular cycle counts and reconcile discrepancies
- Identify obsolete, slow-moving, or at-risk inventory and recommend disposition or replenishment strategies
- Cook up with procurement on reorder points, vendor communication, and delivery tracking
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe storeroom environment aligned with 5S principles
- Assist in developing and updating maintenance procedures, BOMs, and asset documentation
- Provide accurate parts usage data to support root cause analysis and reliability efforts
- Support standardization of spare parts and maintenance materials across the facility
- Train maintenance personnel on proper parts checkout, CMMS usage, and storeroom processes
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives related to maintenance workflows and inventory management
Requirements
- 10+ years’ experience in industrial maintenance
- 3+ years’ experience working in a lead or supervisor role
- Experience in maintenance planning, storeroom operations, or related industrial roles
- Familiarity with CMMS platforms and basic maintenance workflows
- Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Basic understanding of mechanical, electrical, or industrial equipment
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- US Citizenship or legal permanent resident

- Effective verbal and written communication skills in the English language

Pay
Compensation range for this role is between range $82,000 – 92,000 annually
