About the role
We're seeking a Maintenance Planner to join our team in Leola. The ideal candidate will bring 5+ years of Preventive Maintenance, diagnostics, and repair experience, along with strong skills in optimizing Preventive Maintenance programs and Root Cause Analysis.
Responsibilities
- Meet and support KPI targets for safety, quality, production, efficiency, and service
- Prioritize maintenance work orders using risk and cost considerations
- Manage the maintenance backlog and build both short- and long-range schedules
- Prepare Bills of Materials, purchase materials, coordinate fabrication, and source specialty tools
- Ensure accurate, complete work orders, including off-shift communication
- Collaborate daily with production and maintenance leaders to align priorities
- Build and maintain asset data within the CMMS (SAP)
- Publish maintenance KPIs and guide optimal parts inventory
- Create detailed, technician-ready job packages (SOPs, JSAs, instructions, PM kits)
- Continuously improve job plans based on feedback
- Track warranties, repaired parts, and maintenance costs
- Partner cross-functionally to identify and drive continuous improvement
- Communicate PM schedules to technicians
Requirements
- 5+ years of Preventive Maintenance, diagnostics, and repair experience (trade school/training accepted)
- Strong understanding of Root Cause Analysis (RCA)
- Skilled in identifying and evaluating solutions to improve reliability
- Ability to prioritize effectively with minimal supervision
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Hands-on experience with Predictive Maintenance technologies
- Proficiency with CMMS systems (SAP preferred)
- Solid mechanical aptitude and understanding of electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and pump systems
- Ability to read complex blueprints, manuals, and schematics
- Strong math and computer skills, including Microsoft Office
- Ability to follow, assess, and improve operational procedures

- Education: Trade school/training accepted
- Experience: 5+ years of Preventive Maintenance, diagnostics, and repair experience
- Skills: Strong understanding of Root Cause Analysis (RCA), hands-on experience with Predictive Maintenance technologies, proficiency with CMMS systems (SAP preferred), solid mechanical aptitude and understanding of electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and pump systems, ability to read complex blueprints, manuals, and schematics, strong math and computer skills, ability to follow, assess, and improve operational procedures
