Maintenance Mechanic Trade

Responsibilities

• Performing scheduled compliance inspections and completing repairs as needed throughout the facility (initial assessment and troubleshooting of basic HVAC, electrical and plumbing)
• Conducting preventative maintenance activities to ensure building systems remain safe and operational
• Responding to patient-related concerns and other maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner
• Inspecting the environment of care and identifying potential safety hazards before they become issues
• Supporting life safety initiatives, including fire boundary inspections and preventative maintenance of firefighting equipment
• Utilizing work request systems to document tasks, maintain records, and track completed work
• Coordinating and overseeing outside contractors to ensure work is completed safely and in accordance with organizational standards
• Contributing to a safe, comfortable, and healing environment for patients, visitors, and team members

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in hospital or industrial maintenance/construction
• Valid New Jersey Driver’s License

Pay

$30.00 – $33.00 per hour (pay determined by education, skills, and professional experience)
