Maintenance Mechanic III - Healthcare
Job Summary
Hours: Full-time; 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday, rotating weekend schedule

Responsibilities
- Resolve daily work order requests
- Provide preventative and corrective maintenance throughout the properties
- Inspect building and/or grounds as necessary
- Replace light bulbs, electrical fixtures, plumbing fixtures, filters, ceiling tiles, door hardware, locks, and make keys
- Perform wall repair, flooring repair, and painting
- Wear necessary safety attire and/or use appropriate equipment
- Respond to on-call emergencies after hours, evenings and weekends, and mandatory snow removal
- Work with contractors as necessary
- Perform daily mechanical inspections
- Schedule annual fire drills
- Meet requests of remote BHCHP locations
- Oversee Routine Preventative Maintenance Schedule
- Performs other duties as required or assigned
Qualifications
- A high school diploma, GED equivalent, or relevant Technical School certification required
- Knowledge of OSHA and facilities maintenance in a healthcare setting preferred
- 5-10 years of experience in some or all the following areas: basic plumbing, basic electrical, general carpentry, tiling, locks, painting, grounds keeping, cleaning/janitorial
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed oral or written instructions independently
- Self-motivated and enjoys working with a diverse population
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
- Wears appropriate uniform at all times
Compensation and Benefits
- The compensation ranges from $22.25 - $35.60 per hour and increases based on years of experience
