Maintenance Mechanic III
About the role
This is a full time Nights position with the hours of 11:00 to 7:30 AM M-F and Rotating weekends.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for preventive and corrective maintenance of hospital equipment and building components.
- Diagnose problems, offer solutions, and act to ensure the safety, care, and comfort of staff and patients.
- Perform a variety of skilled maintenance, including:
- Repairs to machinery, equipment or facilities
- Preventive maintenance on hospital and plant equipment
- Execute miscellaneous work orders and answer trouble calls
- Accurately document and maintain records for the facility
- Perform routine electrical, plumbing and HVAC maintenance
- Assist in ordering parts and supplies needed for maintenance
Requirements
- Experience: 5 years experience in a large commercial industrial or health care facility as an electrician, HVAC and Plant Operator, or plumber with general and structural maintenance, modification, renovation and interior construction
- Previous experience in general maintenance in a hospital or similar institution – preferred
- Education: High School Diploma, GED or equivalent Technical, Vocational or other equivalent education – preferred
- Certifications: Licensed or certified in HVAC, Electrical, Plant Operations or Maintenance field – preferred
