About the Role

We are a trusted partner to our customers in innovation, with one of the strongest R&D, product formulation, and technical teams in the industry. Recognized as a leader in plant-based softgel innovation, we excel at encapsulating difficult formulas. As a Maintenance Mechanic 3, you will provide technical support for manufacturing equipment (Softgel or Unit Dose), Facilities, and the Preventative Maintenance Program. This role requires advanced proficiency and expertise with multiple equipment and/or systems, building on the skills of a Mechanic 2.

Responsibilities

  • Keep the facility, production equipment, and all support equipment in safe and operational working condition according to OEM and OSHA guidelines.
  • Respond to all floor calls in a timely manner and complete tasks quickly and thoroughly.
  • Maintain up-time/downtime targets and develop plans to improve.
  • Troubleshoot problems, recommend solutions, and implement permanent fixes for identified root causes.
  • Complete assigned work orders (Preventative/Corrective Maintenance) promptly and support prioritization of tasks for other mechanics.
  • Execute the Preventative Maintenance Program (PM), including relevant documentation, and design PMs/schedules in coordination with the supervisor.
  • Maintain equipment maintenance logs and documentation in accordance with SOP and cGMP guidelines.
  • Identify and complete process improvement initiatives, including engineering and construction projects.
  • Work with auditors, vendors, and suppliers as needed.
  • Maintain inventory of spare parts and critical equipment; audit systems and source options as necessary.
  • Research and obtain quotes for equipment, parts, and services.
  • Lead the training of other employees.
  • Comply with all Company policies and procedures, including safety programs.
  • Perform equipment set-ups or changeovers as necessary for the production schedule.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and schematics as required.
  • Coordinate equipment alterations (e.g., part fabrication) and equipment installation.
  • Perform other assigned tasks or duties, which may require overtime and weekend work.
  • Maintain a safe work environment and operate in a safe manner.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent GED Certificate.
  • Vocational or trade school with certifications or apprenticeship training preferred.
  • Minimum of four (4) years of related maintenance and mechanical experience, or any combination of experience, education, and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and experience.
  • Experience in an FDA-regulated industry is preferred.
  • Experience with Gummy manufacturing equipment.

Pay

Base Salary Range: $25.50 - $31.00 per hour, based on candidate professional experience level.
