Maintenance Mechanic III, 1st Shift

Job Summary

As a Maintenance Mechanic 3 at Behr, you will play a key role in maintaining and optimizing complex equipment and systems across our manufacturing or distribution operations. You will diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and process‑related issues, perform reactive repairs and proactive preventative maintenance, fabricate and modify components, and support team members while maintaining accurate records, promoting safety, and contributing to a clean, organized, and efficient work environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose and resolve complex mechanical, electrical, and process issues related to automation, conveyor systems, material handling, and motor repairs.
• Use shop equipment (shears, brakes, cutting tools) to fabricate and repair components.
• Perform routine maintenance and develop solutions to improve efficiency and prevent recurring issues.
• Maintain accurate records, promote safety, and contribute to a clean, organized work environment.

Requirements

• Strong background in industrial maintenance, including plumbing, mechanical, and electrical repairs.
• Proficiency in electrical systems, mechanical repairs, welding, and fabrication.
• Experience with automated and material‑handling systems and general PC operations.
• Ability to operate a forklift safely (certification not required).
• High school diploma or GED.

Compensation

• $2,000 sign‑on bonus for all Maintenance Mechanic positions (eligible for external candidates only).
• Pay range: $30.10 – $47.30 USD (actual compensation may vary based on experience, education, location, and skills).
• $3 per hour shift differential for all shifts that start at 12 PM or later.
