Maintenance Mechanic- Facilities Engineering

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or passage of a high school equivalency exam
• 4 years of general maintenance experience, including carpentry, painting, electrical, and mechanical repairs
• Solid mechanical abilities
• Possess a current, valid Driver’s License
• Able to read and utilize blue prints
• Solid problem solving skills, and able to use sound judgment
• Good interpersonal skills
• Basic personal computer skills
• Basic math skills
• Able to follow directions
• Able to work independently/with minimal supervision, or as part of a team
• Willing and able to adjust from the standard work schedule as needed for operational coverage, including days that are not normally worked, and at locations not normally assigned

Preferred

• Licensed in one of the following skilled trade areas for the State of Ohio: Electrical, Plumber, HVAC, Mechanic, Carpenter
• Documented completion of a formal apprenticeship program as an Electrician, Mechanic, HVAC Technician, Plumber, Carpenter, or other skilled trade that involves a 4-year apprenticeship program
• Possess a Medical Gas Maintenance Personnel 6040 certificate from The American Society of Safety Engineers (ASSE)
• Prior Healthcare industry experience
