Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on all MDP grinding operation equipment, including Multivac machines, Ossid Tray Pack equipment, Segment Line equipment, Wolftec Injectors, Brine mixers, Frigoscandia spiral freezer, Ishida scales, mechanical conveying equipment, electronic label printers, computers, vacuum packaging machines, box making/sealing equipment, metal detectors, plumbing, and pneumatics.
• Read blueprints and schematics.
• Generate work orders and store requisitions, and report deficiencies.
• Perform welding, arc and heli‑arc welding, and use cutting torches.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years experience in poultry processing maintenance or a related field.
• Ability to troubleshoot and make “on the spot” corrections in emergency situations.
• Proficiency in welding (arc, heli‑arc) and cutting torch use.
• Good written and oral communication skills in English.
• Self‑motivated with ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Physical ability to lift 50 pounds, work from ladders safely, stand 8‑10 hours on concrete/metal grate floors, and stand for prolonged periods.
• Willingness to work rotating shifts and weekends as required.
• Willingness to cross‑train in processing maintenance area.

Pay

$21.00 – $30.00 per hour. Additional $1.00 per hour for hours worked between 7:00 pm and 11:59 pm, and an additional $2.00 per hour for hours worked between 12:00 am and 4:59 am.
