Troubleshooting and Maintenance

• Perform preventative maintenance on all MDP grinding operation equipment throughout the area, including Multivac machines, Ossid Tray Pack equipment, Segment Line equipment, Wolftec Injectors, Brine mixers, Frigoscandia spiral freezer, Ishida scales and associated equipment, mechanical conveying equipment, electronic label printers, computers, vacuum packaging machines, Box making/sealing equipments, metal detectors, plumbing, pneumatics, welding, reading blue prints and schematics.
• Generate work orders, store requisitions, report deficiencies.

Qualifications

• Five years experience in poultry processing maintenance or related field.
• Able to troubleshoot and make “on the spot” corrections to emergency situations.
• Able to weld, arc and heli-arc, and use cutting torch.
• Good written and oral communication skills in English.
• Self-motivated and able to work with a minimum of supervision.
• Able to lift 50 pounds.
• Able to work from ladder, safely.
• Able to work rotating shifts, and weekends as required.
• Able to cross train in processing maintenance area.
• Able to stand for prolonged periods of time (8-10 hrs) on a concrete/metal grate floor.
