Waste Water Maintenance Mechanic Grade I - Cherry (Swing)

Responsibilities

• Follow safety lock-out/tag-out procedures.
• Troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on coop dump, paw system, Picking Room, and 1st Processing Evisceration and chill equipment, including:
  • Overhead conveyor systems
  • Offal and Waste Water equipment
  • Belts, chains, and augers
• Perform plumbing tasks: air, water, hydraulic.
• Weld using arc and heli-arc, and use a cutting torch.
• Work from blueprints and schematics.
• Generate work orders, store requisitions, and report deficiencies.

Requirements

• Five years of experience in poultry processing maintenance or a related field, or completion of an entry-level maintenance school certificate and passing an entry-level maintenance test.
• Ability to troubleshoot and make immediate corrections in emergency situations.
• Proficiency in welding (arc and heli-arc) and using a cutting torch.
• Good written and oral English communication skills.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds.
• Ability to work from a ladder.
• Willingness to work rotating shifts and weekends.

A mechanical test will be administered to determine skill level.

Pay

$21.00 - $30.00 per hour
