Maintenance Mechanic - Crew 2

About the role

The Maintenance Mechanic role at the Hanover location is responsible for performing duties to repair and maintain machinery, equipment, building and facilities requiring a broad knowledge of maintenance skills. Our maintenance mechanics are viewed as an active supporter of lean and preventative maintenance systems.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, rebuild, adjust and maintain machinery and equipment used in production which may also involve the dismantling, inspection, machining or replacement of purchased parts.
• Perform various activities relative to the installation and relocation of existing machines and equipment.
• Perform basic maintenance and repairs on conveyors, packaging equipment, production equipment, electrical controls systems and other related plant systems.
• Provides routine inspections and monitoring of all production equipment.
• Performs troubleshooting on equipment and facilities as needed to determine the root cause of problem and perform proper repair.
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

This is a full-time permanent role on Crew 2, which operates from 6:00am to 6:00pm - Thursday, Friday, Saturday and every other Wednesday. Availability of Overtime when needed. $33.22 /hr shift.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience following instructions/process documents and providing effective communication, both verbal and written.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment – food manufacturing a plus.
• Proven electrical experience with the ability to diagnose, repair, and maintain electrical systems and equipment.
