About the role
This position performs skilled and semi-skilled maintenance activities depending upon area of assignment. Performs preventive maintenance procedures on mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment on a scheduled basis; inspects belts, gearboxes, chains, bearings, etc. Performs repairs on all related equipment with minimal supervision. Testing of analog devices, scaling and calibrations required regularly. Troubleshooting of low voltage circuits, analog devices, VFD's, and motor control circuitry to obtain a root cause of failures. Troubleshoot hydraulic and pneumatic circuits and devices to determine faults and failures. Regular repair and maintenance required in non-production areas including the warehouse, design lab, building, and grounds. Uses CMMS system for work order implementation, recordkeeping of daily activities, and planned projects.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance on mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment
- Inspect belts, gearboxes, chains, bearings, and related components
- Repair equipment with minimal supervision
- Test, scale, and calibrate analog devices
- Troubleshoot low voltage circuits, analog devices, VFDs, and motor control circuitry
- Troubleshoot hydraulic and pneumatic circuits and devices
- Maintain non-production areas including warehouse, design lab, building, and grounds
- Use CMMS system for work orders, recordkeeping, and project planning
Requirements
- Ability to work safely, maintain a clean and safe work environment, and comply with all safety regulations
- Experience with PLC processors and ladder logic (Allen Bradley, Siemens, Omron)
- Familiarity with NFPA 70E standards
- Boiler/steam knowledge and/or certification is a plus
- Flexibility to work 2nd or 3rd shifts; required to work daily overtime and weekends as needed
- Consistent and regular attendance
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical school preferred
