Duties And Responsibilities
- Develops standard maintenance programs to be incorporated into operating manuals for customers
- Aids in identifying and resolving recurrent failures
- Supports root cause analysis program for major failures
- Maintains and repairs lift table and lift jacks
- Keeps machinery and production equipment in working condition and always ready for production, including forklift fleet and the service agreements on larger forklift repairs
- Diagnoses and repairs issues with welding machines, trucks, and golf carts
- Maintains adequate supply of parts to service and maintain equipment, and keeps detailed records for reporting of maintenance performed and parts used.
Qualifications
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to read blueprints and schematics
- Ability to work with tools such as a welder, cutting torch, grinder, lathe, mill, drill, and meter
- 1+ year of experience with hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and industrial skills
Physical Requirements
- Work Environment: Hot and cold environments, in and out of the weather, work safely around heavy equipment and on top of and under railcars, as well as around railroad tracks
