Maintenance Mechanic

Novolex is a leading manufacturer of food, beverage, and specialty packaging supporting multiple industries including foodservice, restaurant delivery and carryout, food processing, grocery and retail, and industrial sectors. Manufacturing and sourcing expertise spans resin, paper, molded fiber, aluminum and more, providing a broad array of stock and customized solutions with 120 product categories, 250 brands and over 39,000 SKUs.

Responsibilities

• Maintain equipment to meet safety, quality, and production goals
• Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, and make adjustments
• Work on pneumatic and hydraulic systems
• Work on gear boxes, bearings, belts, chains, rollers, pumps
• Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and services
• Perform simple machinist skills
• Use a variety of hand and power tools
• Follow Safety and Health policies and procedures
• Ability to drive material handling equipment or be trained to drive material handling equipment

Qualifications

• Minimum 2-4 years of industrial maintenance experience or industrial maintenance associates degree with a willingness to grow into the job
• Must take and pass Ramsey Mechanical Aptitude Test
• Computer skills and/or ability to be trained on work order system
• Ability to effectively communicate to aid in trouble shooting
• Welding experience, a plus
• Must show initiative and adaptability to work independently and/or as part of a team
• Must have strong desire to learn, develop, and adapt to new equipment and methods
• Experience or desire to work 2nd and/or 3rd shift a plus
• Be willing to work overtime as required to meet company goals
• Track record of staying with a company a minimum of 2 years
• Ability to maintain regular, predictable, and punctual attendance

Location: Raleigh, NC
Starting Pay Range: $31.31 to $37.20 based on experience and qualifications
$5,000 Sign-on Bonus
12-hour shifts with rotating schedule: Day Shift 7A-7P, Night Shift 7P-7A – rotation between the two schedules required
