About the role

Domtar, Menominee Operations is seeking a talented individual to join our team. This position is a Monday – Friday 1st shift role that will assist maintenance on daily and down tasks as needed, which may be outside of regular hours. We offer an exceptionally clean work environment and a strong commitment to safety, with nearly 16 years without a lost-time accident and almost 14 years without a recordable accident.

Responsibilities

• Safely and properly maintain mobile and associated equipment in a timely manner to ensure proper reliability.
• Troubleshoot and repair all mobile equipment, bucket and scissor lifts, pressure washers, and fuel storage tanks.
• Perform preventative maintenance tasks on above equipment to ensure proper reliability.
• Assist maintenance on daily and down tasks as needed.
• Housekeeping of equipment and work area.
• Complete and maintain proper paperwork for inspections, stores, and work orders.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Prior experience in an industrial environment and previous mechanical experience, preferably with forklifts.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical problems.
• Understanding and knowledge of Preventative Maintenance.
• Self-directed individual with excellent troubleshooting/problem-solving skills.
• Good written and oral communication skills.
• Professional and able to work both independently and as part of a team.

Pay

The current hourly pay range is $30.00 to $38.26, depending on experience.
