Maintenance Mechanic

About the role

Darigold is seeking a skilled and motivated Maintenance Mechanic to maintain and repair all plant equipment, assist with special projects including fabrication and sanitary welding, and ensure the smooth operation of production machinery.

Responsibilities

• Perform sanitary welding and stainless steel fabrication and welding
• Maintain and repair rotating machinery and production equipment
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical motors and controls
• Work with ammonia refrigeration systems and boilers
• Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems
• Interpret P&ID, mechanical, and electrical drawings
• Execute preventive maintenance programs
• Plan, organize, and maintain equipment and records using CMMS systems and work orders
• Manage multiple priorities and communicate effectively in a team environment
• Work any shift, including nights and weekends, as required

Requirements

• 3-5 years of manufacturing maintenance or related experience
• Formal education in a related field preferred
• Proven sanitary welding and stainless steel fabrication skills
• Experience with electrical motors, controls, and ammonia refrigeration systems
• Ability to troubleshoot hydraulic, pneumatic, and production equipment
• Strong understanding of preventive maintenance and CMMS systems
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Pay

$32 to $36 per hour
