Maintenance Mechanic
Location: St. Joseph, MO (Pear Street)
Schedule
- 1st Shift (6:30am–2:30pm)
- 2nd Shift (3:00pm–11:00pm) – $33.79/hr
- 3rd Shift (10:00pm–6:00am) – $33.79/hr
- Weekend shift +$0.50/hr
- Overtime and weekends may be required
- Paid weekly on Fridays
Pay
Competitive starting pay of $32.89/hr with contractual progression and shift premiums.

Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and repair machinery and facility equipment
- Repair machines, jigs, fixtures, gauges, and fit replacement parts or fabricate replacement parts as required
- Perform electrical, plumbing, heating, and roofing repairs
- Read schematics and electronic blueprints
- Service and operate rectifiers
- Operate precision hand tools and electronic equipment
- Adjust machines for production when adjustment is beyond the scope of the operator
- Maintain and install piping, fittings, valves, gauges, and controls for hydraulic systems, gas, and air lines
- Set up and operate lathe, milling machine, drill press, grinder, power saws, welder, etc.
- Perform periodic checks of machines and equipment; conduct preventive maintenance (e.g., oiling, greasing)
- Perform carpentry and sheet metal work to fabricate and repair benches, guards, boxes, trays, etc.
Requirements
- Computer skills, including Microsoft Office and working on computerized equipment
- Basic math, reading, and writing skills
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment, multitask, and track workload
- Able to read schematics and blueprints
- Able to work overtime and weekends as needed
- Must be able to wear required PPE (if applicable)
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or a Legal Permanent Resident card holder (sponsorship not available)
- Must provide and maintain personal hand tools as needed

Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent (preferred)
- PLC troubleshooting experience (preferred but not required)

Our St. Joseph, Missouri Dry Assembly Plant (DAP) opened in 1973 and now employs more than 860 people.
