Essential Duties of the Maintenance Mechanic – 2nd Shift

  • Perform maintenance and repair of manufacturing equipment, including mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Troubleshoot equipment issues using technical manuals, assembly instructions, and diagnostic tools.
  • Maintain and repair CNC machines and related equipment as needed.
  • Utilize basic and specialized hand tools to perform maintenance tasks.
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance to ensure equipment reliability and minimize downtime.
  • Collaborate with production and engineering teams to resolve equipment issues and improve performance.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs.
  • Support safe work practices and comply with all safety policies and procedures.
  • Work overtime, including weekends, as required to support production needs.

Education & Skills Requirements

  • A high school diploma or GED is required.
  • A minimum of five (5) years of experience as a Maintenance Mechanic in a manufacturing environment is required.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting experience is required.
  • A Black Seal license or certification is strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of CNC machine design and operation is preferred.
  • The ability to read and interpret technical documents, manuals, and schematics is necessary.
  • Strong mathematical and problem-solving skills are required.
  • The ability to work independently with minimal supervision is necessary.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required.
  • Excellent computer skills including Microsoft applications such as Word, Excel, and Outlook are required.
  • US Citizenship is required at the time of hire.

Additional Information

  • This position is scheduled for 2nd shift (Monday–Friday, 3:30 PM – 12:00 AM).
  • Includes a $2.00/hour shift differential.
  • Candidates must be able to train on day shift prior to transitioning to the permanent schedule.

Pay Range

$35.00 - $40.10 per hour
