Maintenance Mechanic-24833
Responsibilities
- Provides technical services for Utilities, HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing, steam, medical air, vacuum systems, preventative maintenance, repairs and installation according to established procedures and code compliance.
- Maintains and operates Life Safety equipment and Utilities management equipment for the Hospital.
- Performs preventive maintenance on equipment per the established Hospital PM Program.
- Responsible for maintaining mechanical equipment rooms, floors, lighting, and equipment inspections.
- Takes ownership of the assigned zone to improve the zone maintenance program.
Requirements
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent (GED).
- Must have 2 years of relevant work experience.
- Ability to read and work from architectural and mechanical blueprints, drawings, and schematics.
- Has a background in electrical, plumbing, HVAC, refrigeration, pipefitting, and steam plant operations.
- Basic interpersonal skills, analytical skills, and the ability to concentrate.
- Safe use of hand and power tools.
- Generally able to conduct physical activities associated with the performance of this job.
- Experienced with computers, with an understanding of using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems, Microsoft Office, Outlook, and Internet.
