Responsibilities

  • Partner with the Community and Property Manager to cultivate a high-performing team and achieve property objectives
  • Ensure adherence to Equity standards, handling resident service requests promptly and safely
  • Assist your team with performing various maintenance tasks and preparing market-ready apartments
  • Analyze property management system data and provide recommendations for financial concerns
  • Collaborate with the Property Manager on capital improvements and oversee inventory control
  • Perform scheduled maintenance and prepare status reports

Requirements

  • Hands-on maintenance experience in plumbing, electrical, appliance, and HVAC
  • Residential or commercial property management, hospitality, or retail experience
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Knowledge of federal and state apartment housing laws
  • EPA Section 608 Type I and Type II or Universal certification (must be obtained within 90 days of hire if required)
  • Valid driver’s license, good driving record, auto insurance, and reliable transportation (if operating a motorized vehicle)
  • Computer literacy and effective communication skills in English (oral and written)
  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair plumbing, electrical, appliances, HVAC equipment (if applicable), interior repairs, and painting
  • Ability to work any assigned shift, including weekends, and respond to emergencies after hours when on-call
  • Must provide a telephone number for after-hours emergency contact
  • Ability to perform physical activities including prolonged standing, walking, climbing, stooping, kneeling, lifting, and carrying materials up to 50 lbs.
  • Use of a personal smartphone with updated software, password protection, and compliance with in-house security systems

  • Managerial experience (preferred)

Pay

$31.11 - $44.14 per hour. Employees are eligible for overtime pay and performance incentives. Starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, and qualifications.
