Maintenance Manager

About the Role

The Maintenance Manager is responsible for all aspects of plant maintenance, including the maintenance staff, facilities maintenance, Powered Industrial Equipment, and stationary equipment. The Maintenance Manager collaborates with the Maintenance Supervisor, Production Supervisors, and Plant Manager to ensure equipment is ready to support operations.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, organize, direct, and run optimum day-to-day operations to exceed customer expectations.
  • Assign tasks to maintenance staff and manage the quality and timeliness of task completion.
  • Conduct regular audits of all equipment and facilities, including:
    • Building HVAC
    • Electrical systems
    • Relevant security equipment
    • Powered Industrial equipment
    • Stationary equipment
  • Collaborate with area Production Managers as needed.
  • Ensure spare parts are in stock.
  • Provide training, development, and coaching to maintenance staff.
  • Apply effective and accurate troubleshooting methods for equipment repair, including root cause analysis of malfunctions and remediation options.
  • Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Develop and manage performance metrics for the team.
  • Monitor maintenance records.
  • Manage FIXX tasks and maintain Preventive Maintenance schedules.
  • On-call availability as needed.
  • Provide report information to the leadership team.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Manufacturing.
  • Knowledge of OSHA and other governmental regulations; incident and accident prevention.
  • Leadership ability to command and maintain the attention of those you are overseeing.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Effective communication skills to convey instructions, directions, and details clearly.
  • Attention to detail to manage all duties, rules, documentation, and other job components accurately.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and protect data, information, and employee privacy.
  • Collaborative mindset to work with diverse personalities for tangible and beneficial outcomes.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university.

Working Conditions

  • Operates in a cold and wet environment within the facility.
  • Requires standing for the entire shift, bending, twisting, and lifting.
  • Ability to lift 45 pounds or more on a regular basis.
  • Push/pull up to 250 pounds on rollers regularly.
  • Occasional exposure to allergenic food ingredients as referenced by the FDA; inform your direct manager of any food allergies.
