Maintenance Manager
Job Description
The Site Maintenance Manager (SMM) is responsible for C-130J MATS site level maintenance support and has overall site-level responsibility for the operation and maintenance of simulators located at Little Rock AFB. The SMM supervises and manages personnel assigned to meet preventive and corrective (organizational, intermediate and depot) maintenance requirements; operational requirements; and hardware/software/data configuration requirements of assigned aircrew training devices. The SMM ensures the availability of training devices as necessary to meet training requirements; prepares reports and maintains records to support site reporting requirements of the contract; is responsible for safety, security, spaces, and all Government furnished equipment and materials used by C-130J MATS program personnel at the site; acts as the principal liaison between the Governments Representative, CLS Manager, and the TSSC. The SMM ensures all work performed by C-130J MATS CLS personnel is accomplished in accordance with program instructions, standards, and procedures. Ensures maintenance not covered by the aforementioned data is governed by vendor/commercial data or applicable C-130J MATS directives as contained in program Work Instructions (WIs).
Essential Functions
- Inform Government and CLS/Program Managers of trainer availability, preventative and corrective maintenance actions, etc.
- Schedule operation and maintenance shifts and personnel assignments.
- Ensure implementation and adherence of C-130J MATS Policies, Procedures and WIs.
- Establish and adhere to adequate safety and security standards.
- Perform site administrative duties.
- Enforce procedures for security of classified material and site access.
- Accountable for proper supply and materials logistic support.
- Supervise and direct of site work efforts of assigned C-130J MATS maintenance technicians in performing organizational, intermediate, preventive and corrective maintenance.
- Determines on-site or off-site component repair actions.
- Responsible for program support materials through ordering materials, replacement parts and spares inventory management.
- The SMM will assume accountability of all government and company furnished equipment and materials and perform periodic inventories as specified by the PWS.
- Ensures that necessary program technical data is available and current.
- Provides training device availability, required maintenance actions, and overall maintenance status to program management, government personnel and the CLS Manager.
- Prepares reports and maintains records to support requirements of the C-130J MATS contract.
- Enforce all procedures for the safeguard and security of classified material and site access.
- Makes sure that necessary program technical data is available and current.
- Monitors and tracks the repair status of inoperative equipment and document maintenance activities utilizing the logistics management data base system. (Documenting maintenance activities includes but is not limited to work order generation and updates, repair action documentation, issuing, returning, and adjusting inventory, ensuring inventory records are up to date and accurate, and other material control duties as assigned).
- Works with TSSC Contractor Engineering to assist in trainer non-standard situations.
