Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Aid in planning and implementing plant improvements and expansions.
  • Ensure all maintenance personnel are well-trained on the most updated version of operating equipment and other maintenance skills; maintain a safe workplace and comply with all safety and regulated programs.
  • Maintain a computerized maintenance management system SAP for tracking work orders and adequate inventory of replacement parts.
  • Make recommendations for improving plant operations and solving maintenance-related problems through analyzing data.
  • Ensure all maintenance personnel are properly trained, equipped, and motivated to accomplish maintenance programs and processes safely, timely, and efficiently.
  • Maintain a tracking system for analyzing key maintenance parameters such as asset utilization, maintenance cost, PM compliance, etc.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, health, OSHA, PSM, and environmental policies and procedures, and enforce the safety program.
  • Monitor and administer purchasing and use of all parts and equipment materials and supplies utilized in the maintenance department.
  • Administer the maintenance budget and ensure the achievement of financial goals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 6+ years of maintenance experience.
  • High degree of electrical/PLC proficiency and troubleshooting experience preferred.
  • Standard computer skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; some public speaking skills.
  • Industrial Maintenance experience in fields such as electrical, refrigeration, hydraulics, or mechanical.
  • Strong emphasis on electrical/PLC troubleshooting, automation, and robotics.
  • Supervisory responsibilities for supervising a group of personnel who perform similar or interrelated tasks.

Nice-to-Have Skills

  • Food manufacturing experience.
  • Electrical PLC troubleshooting - strong plus.
  • Knowledge of capital acquisitions, new plant start-ups.
  • SAP knowledge or CMMS maintenance program experience.
