About the Role
The Maintenance Manager supervises the maintenance staff and oversees all corrective and preventative maintenance procedures within the plant.
Responsibilities
- Evaluates and corrects mechanical and/or building problems in the plant.
- Provides direction and leadership for the maintenance crew, including scheduling.
- Implements and evaluates the preventative maintenance program.
- Trains new personnel on company safety procedures and OSHA-compliant safe operating standards.
- Ensures cleanliness of equipment and conducts safety inspections.
- Operates all equipment in accordance with company safety rules and procedures.
- Performs additional duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- 1-3 years of experience as a manager in an industrial setting or equivalent training.
- Demonstrated experience and knowledge of industrial electrical, mechanical, and welding procedures.
Preferred Qualifications
- Management experience in an agricultural business.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Ability to lead and train maintenance personnel.
- Team-oriented with the ability to supervise small groups.
- Detail-oriented, well-organized, and capable of multitasking and prioritizing tasks.
- Good math skills.
Physical Demands
- Frequently required to walk, stand, sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crawl, and crouch.
- Frequently lifts up to 50 lbs.
- Occasionally pushes, pulls, or moves up to 100 lbs.
- Regularly reaches with hands and arms.
Work Environment
Job functions are carried out in a plant or office environment and on the outside grounds of the property.
