Maintenance Manager

About the Role

The Maintenance Manager supervises the maintenance staff and oversees all corrective and preventative maintenance procedures within the plant.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates and corrects mechanical and/or building problems in the plant.
• Provides direction and leadership for the maintenance crew, including scheduling.
• Implements and evaluates the preventative maintenance program.
• Trains new personnel on company safety procedures and OSHA-compliant safe operating standards.
• Ensures cleanliness of equipment and conducts safety inspections.
• Operates all equipment in accordance with company safety rules and procedures.
• Performs additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• 1-3 years of experience as a manager in an industrial setting or equivalent training.
• Demonstrated experience and knowledge of industrial electrical, mechanical, and welding procedures.

Preferred Qualifications

• Management experience in an agricultural business.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Ability to lead and train maintenance personnel.
• Team-oriented with the ability to supervise small groups.
• Detail-oriented, well-organized, and capable of multitasking and prioritizing tasks.
• Good math skills.

Physical Demands

• Frequently required to walk, stand, sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crawl, and crouch.
• Frequently lifts up to 50 lbs.
• Occasionally pushes, pulls, or moves up to 100 lbs.
• Regularly reaches with hands and arms.

Work Environment

Job functions are carried out in a plant or office environment and on the outside grounds of the property.
