Responsibilities
- Coaching/Teaching & Developing maintenance team on fundamentals of routine equipment upkeep and preventative maintenance techniques.
- Managing and maintaining all machinery to ensure it’s at working standards.
- Manages activity to support extrusion OEE metrics through uptime and equipment reliability improvements.
- Uses MVP & other data to measure equipment reliability performance (Predictive Maintenance, Reduction in Repeat Issues).
- Leads daily activity of his team by setting direction and priorities.
- Provide regular feedback to team on personal & professional growth opportunities.
- Provide training and continuous development of assigned team members.
- Coordinating project work including major PM’s, die cleans and installations with plant personnel, and other department leaders.
- Coordinating closely with other Plant leaders on plant objectives, projects, and performance.
- Schedule and prioritize routine inspections and repairs.
- Ensure all team members are equipped with the knowledge and skills needed to operate machinery and perform maintenance tasks safely.
- Manage inventory & order major components of extrusion equipment such as screws, barrels, die components, etc.
- Stepping in to help coordinate more complex maintenance work as needed.
- Act as the safety champion for the department, ensuring all company safety protocols are followed.
- Prioritize safety procedures and ensure all maintenance activities comply with industry safety regulations.
- Ensure adherence to OSHA standards and company policies.
- Providing the proper training needed to comply with safety standards, including product safety.
Requirements
- Knowledge of industrial electric and industrial pneumatics.
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience with a manufacturing facility, 5 to 7 in a leadership/managerial role.
- Knowledge of blown/cast/plastic film experience preferred.
- Available to support a 24 hours/7 days per week operation.
- Possess logic, problem solving, analytic thinking, and trouble shooting skills.
- Deals effectively with company personnel on all levels ranging from production workers to top management.
- Provide leadership and management to maintenance team.
- Ability to communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Familiarity with OSHA regulations, safety protocols, and risk assessment.
