Maintenance Lead - Manufacturing/Industrial

Saint-Gobain ADFORS is seeking a Maintenance Lead for our Albion, NY plant.

About the role

The Maintenance Lead (Lead Hand) performs all duties of a skilled Maintenance Technician while providing day-to-day leadership, coordination, and direction to the maintenance team. This position serves as the primary point of contact for maintenance activities during assigned shifts, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and in alignment with production and plant objectives. The role is a working lead position, actively participating in maintenance tasks while guiding and supporting the team.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily work assignments for the maintenance team.
• Support troubleshooting and repair activities.
• Promote safe work practices and ensure accurate maintenance documentation within the CMMS (Mobility Work).
• Facilitate effective communication between shifts, departments, and leadership.
• Work unsupervised, efficiently, and safely in various areas of the manufacturing facility.
• Analyze and solve machine and material issues in a timely manner to meet production needs.
• Accurately record material and inventory-related data.
• Use measuring tools, hand tools (e.g., hammer, pry bar, utility knife, scissors), and computer systems (Microsoft Office).

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum 2 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment, specifically in machine maintenance.
• Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively, lead, and assist in a team-based environment.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and mechanical aptitude.
• Effective communication skills and basic math proficiency (including weight conversions).
• Detail-oriented with computer experience (Microsoft Office).
• Practical experience with measuring tools and hand tools.

Pay

$34.00 per hour plus shift differential:

• Nights (M-Th): $0.55/hr
• Fri-Sun Days/Nights: $1.20/hr

Eligible for annual bonus up to 10% of hourly rate based on company and individual performance. Overtime paid at 1.5x hourly rate.

Schedule

Swing Shift with weekend hours every other weekend:

• 5:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• 5:00 PM – 5:00 AM
