About the role
This is a journeyman-level instrumentation technician position at Sylvamo.
Responsibilities
- Complete scheduled maintenance, preventive maintenance and break-in work
- Perform troubleshooting equipment through the DCS systems, single loop controls, data acquisition and camera systems
- Install, calibrate, maintain electronic and pneumatic field instruments for flow, level, temperature, vibration, hydraulic and analytical systems
- Repair, calibration of final control elements such as control valves, pneumatic and electronic positioners
- Knowledge of various test equipment for calibration, preventive maintenance and the ability to read loop sheets, P&IDs and electrical schematics
Requirements
- Minimum High School graduate or GED equivalent
- 1 year vocational/technical education in the Instrumentation Discipline
- Industrial technology degree
- Certificate from accredited college or trade school
- Willing and capable of working all shifts

- Desire to work in manufacturing setting and experience working in an industrial environment
- Knowledge of control and instrument theory, calibration, installation and valves
- Strong math/physics understanding
- Highly motivated, results-driven individual who can also perform well in a team setting
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
