About the role

ELS is the ideal organization for developing a long and successful career, known for its culture of recognition and excellence. The Maintenance 1 position is available in Lebanon, Pennsylvania.

Responsibilities

• Help maintain the safety and functionality of the resort.
• Complete light repairs, support daily operations, and ensure the property meets high-quality maintenance standards.
• Work closely with management and teammates to create a safe, appealing environment for guests and residents.
• Ensure amenity spaces (pool areas, bathhouses, clubhouse, etc.) are clean, safe, and working properly.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks such as light appliance repairs, minor plumbing, carpentry, painting, and basic electrical tasks.
• Maintain resort grounds, including trash removal, landscaping assistance, and keeping outdoor spaces free from debris.
• Attend morning staff meetings to review daily priorities, vendor visits, and maintenance needs.
• Communicate professionally with management, maintenance teammates, and other staff to support smooth operations.
• Report maintenance concerns promptly and complete assigned repairs efficiently.
• Operate maintenance vehicles such as trucks or golf carts and transport tools, equipment, or materials across the property.
• Maintain inventory of tools, parts, and supplies.
• Assist with janitorial duties as needed, including maintaining cleanliness of shared spaces.
• Perform other maintenance-related tasks as assigned.

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license and good driving record.
• High school diploma or equivalent experience.
• Ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds and operate or assist with heavy equipment.
• General knowledge of maintenance practices, hand tools, and basic repairs.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
• Reliable, detail-oriented, and committed to maintaining high standards.
• Willing and able to be on a rotating on-call schedule for emergency maintenance needs outside of regular hours.
• Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
