Maintenance Generalist Lead (1st Shift) Sedalia Plant

About the role

This position is responsible for assisting the Supervisor in coordination of the daily responsibilities of the department by ensuring the Supervisor’s instructions are communicated to the team members and carried out timely and correctly. This position is also responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing all equipment and company assets while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Communicate Supervisor’s instructions to team members and ensure timely and correct execution
• Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair equipment and company assets
• Maintain a safe work environment and adhere to Tyson policies and procedures
• Lead a group of team members and/or contractors to accomplish preventative maintenance, equipment repairs and rebuilds
• Communicate with production managers and team members to meet daily production and productivity needs
• Perform preventive maintenance on assigned equipment
• Rebuild equipment as determined necessary by supervisor
• Perform facility repairs within area
• Make machine adjustments during production periods
• Repair equipment as necessary in the event of mechanical failure
• Use computerized maintenance management system

Requirements

• 3 months mechanical experience or enrolled or completed an automotive/mechanical degree or training
• Very good communication skills
• Ability to lead a group of team members and/or contractors
• Ability to communicate with production managers and team members
• Prepared to work in a fast‑paced environment
