About the role

The Maintenance and Facilities Manager will oversee facilities engineering resources, utilities, and infrastructure to maximize equipment reliability and plant performance. They will support capital projects, equipment installations, facility upgrades, and process improvements. This role requires strict adherence to site Management of Change (MOC) procedures and compliance with Process Safety Management (PSM) and Safety and Environmental Management System initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee facilities engineering resources, utilities, and infrastructure to maximize equipment reliability and plant performance.
  • Support capital projects, equipment installations, facility upgrades, and process improvements.
  • Works with engineering resources to modify equipment and facilities to ensure reliability in an economic and efficient manner to meet design criteria within applicable laws and regulations.
  • Proactively supports and complies with Process Safety Management (PSM) and Safety and Environmental Management System initiatives and requirements.
  • Maintain facility readiness for customer, regulatory, and aerospace quality audits.
  • Cook up with external contractors, engineering teams, and vendors.
  • Support manufacturing expansion and modernization initiatives.
  • Perform root cause failure analysis (RCFA) for significant equipment failures.
  • Improve spare parts management and maintenance planning processes.
  • Lead the site’s Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) program, including predictive and preventive maintenance activities.
  • Manage maintenance and facilities personnel, work planning, scheduling, performance metrics, and departmental budgets.
  • Ensure the Environmental Management System (EMS) is effectively implemented across the department and for ensuring department employees support and are engaged in the EMS.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related technical discipline.
  • 10+ years of leadership experience in an industrial maintenance or facilities environment; equivalent combinations of education, certifications, and experience may be considered.
  • Experience implementing predictive and preventive maintenance programs in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience managing maintenance budgets, capital projects, and facility operations.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and CMMS software; Lean/Six Sigma experience is preferred.

Qualifications

  • U.S. citizen, U.S. national, person lawfully admitted for permanent residence, temporary resident under sections 210(a) or 245(A) of the Immigration and Nationality Act, person admitted in refugee status, or person granted asylum.
