Maintenance Electrician

About the role
Sika is looking for an experienced Maintenance Electrician to join its growing team in the Canton, MA area for our Roofing business. The Maintenance Electrician will troubleshoot, repair, and maintain all types of machinery within buildings whether mechanical or electrical or PLC controlled. This individual will play a key role in performing preventative maintenance.
Schedule
- Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday: 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM
Pay
- Salary Range: $45–$48 per hour, plus a 10% shift differential based on education, experience, and qualifications
Responsibilities
- Run EMT, rigid conduit, threading, and bending EMT from ½" to 2" (kicks, saddles, 90s, offsets, etc.)
- Repair, install, replace, and test electrical circuits and equipment
- Diagnose malfunctioning systems and components using test equipment such as voltmeter, ohmmeter, and megohmmeter
- Troubleshoot PLC-controlled equipment
- Work with AC motor controls, DC motors and controls, variable frequency drives, pneumatic and hydraulic controls from wiring diagrams and schematic drawings
- Complete work independently, professionally, and in a timely fashion while maintaining thorough documentation in work orders and maintenance log books
- Perform all duties while maintaining high quality and adhering to environment, health, and safety standards
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Licensed journeyman electrician in the state of Massachusetts
- 5 years of industrial or manufacturing-related work experience
- Computer skills (Word, Excel, email)
- Understanding of PLC-controlled production lines
