Role Overview

We are seeking a Maintenance Electrician to look after the electrical systems of Plantible’s plant and industrial machinery. The role involves conducting general maintenance inspections, performing routine electrical maintenance, responding to faults and wiring issues, and installing major electrical appliances and machinery.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, equipment, and fixtures.
• Perform troubleshooting to identify electrical problems and implement solutions.
• Read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and diagrams.
• Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in wiring, equipment, and fixtures.
• Inspect electrical components such as transformers and circuit breakers.
• Install and maintain electrical wiring, control, and lighting systems.
• Adhere to safety standards and regulations while performing tasks.
• Collaborate with other tradespeople and contractors on projects.
• Provide recommendations for improving electrical systems and processes.
• Stay current with advancements in electrical technology and codes.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 3–5 years proven experience as a Maintenance Electrician.
• Electrician certification.
• Proficient understanding of electrical systems, circuits, and components.
• Knowledge of electrical codes and regulations.
• Strong troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and diagrams.
• Commitment to safety protocols and regulations.
• Attention to detail and precision.
• Physical stamina to lift and carry up to 50 lb and perform tasks such as walking, standing, bending, squatting, climbing stairs, and working in confined spaces.
• Effective communication skills for teamwork and customer service.
• Time‑management ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
• Problem‑solving aptitude for complex electrical issues.
• Adaptability to work in various environments and shifting project requirements.
• Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, or night shifts as needed.

Work Environment

The position is based in a manufacturing plant with exposure to dust, loud noise, and temperature extremes (cold and hot) often without climate control. Frequent computer usage and the ability to use both hands and feet, arms, and legs are required.

Pay

$21 – $24 per hour (Eldorado, TX)
