Maintenance Coordinator – Senior Living Community

About the role

Under the direction of the Building Operations lead, this role maintains community areas related to maintenance and repairs, and participates in the On-Call rotation.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair equipment, machinery, plumbing, HVAC, electrical systems, and perform community work orders promptly.
• Conduct monthly fire drills, ensure fire extinguishers are maintained, and assist with snow removal, renovations, and grounds upkeep.
• Ensure compliance and proper documentation related to maintenance functions under the Facilities Services Director’s guidance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Skills

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in building maintenance, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, painting, and patching.
• HVAC knowledge and familiarity with maintenance tools preferred.
• Understanding of Life Safety, OSHA, MSDS, and healthcare regulations is advantageous.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office or maintenance management software, with database experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license, excellent customer service skills, and fluency in English required.

Physical & Working Conditions

• Requires strenuous physical activity, including lifting over 100 pounds occasionally and frequent climbing, reaching, and motor skills.
• Potential exposure to chemicals and high heat, with frequent interruptions and resident interactions.
