About the role
The Maintenance Coordinator plays a key role in ensuring the efficient operation of all maintenance activities within the facility. This position is responsible for scheduling, coordinating, and tracking maintenance requests, inspections, and preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and maintain equipment reliability.
Responsibilities
- Schedule and prioritize maintenance tasks, work requests, work orders, and repairs in coordination with operations and facility management teams
- Develop a parts kitting program that facilitates work order (W/O) completion for parts ordered against W/O's
- Maintain records of maintenance activities, including work orders, inventory usage, and equipment service histories in CMMS system (eMaint)
- Data analysis to identify mean time to failure, mean time between failure, and mean time to repair critical systems
- Support the implementation of continuous improvement initiatives to optimize maintenance performance
- Communicate effectively with maintenance technicians, supervisors, and other departments to ensure work is completed safely and efficiently
- Manage preventive maintenance programs to ensure compliance with safety and operational standards
- Cook up vendor contracts, service agreements, and external maintenance support as needed
- Manage identified critical spare and MRO parts inventories
- Track spare parts inventory and order parts to maintain adequate stock levels
- Aid with budget tracking, cost control, and reporting of maintenance expenditures
- Data analysis and development of MRO part inventory reorder point/reorder quantity
- Identify dead stock and submit opportunities to Maint. Mgr
- Quote and submit purchase requisitions for MRO/non-MRO parts as determined by Maint. Mgr
- Report Generation from E-Maintenance for cycle counting of parts, and E-Maintenance metrics
- Evaluate efficiency of Maintenance staff and provide effective data for analyzing of job effectiveness
- Ensure compliance with all company safety policies and regulatory requirements
Requirements
- Plant experience, HS diploma or GED
- Computer skills- MS Office, Excel, Outlook, good verbal and written communication skills, strong interpersonal skills, problem solving skills
- Computerized Maintenance Management systems (E-Maintenance) preferred
- Data analysis and report generation
- Organization and preparation of data reports
- Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices related to industrial maintenance
Qualifications
- Education & Experience: Plant experience, HS diploma or GED
- Skills & Abilities: Excellent communication, and interpersonal skills to motivate teams and collaborate with cross-functional departments
- Physical Demands: Ability to walk, stand, sit for extended periods of time, lift 25lbs occasionally
- Knowledge: Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices related to industrial maintenance
