Maintenance Clerk

About the role

This position supports the maintenance and inventory operations of a corrugated manufacturing facility.

Responsibilities

• Create purchase orders in SAP and Imaint; perform data entry as required
• File SAP documentation daily and forward to accounting
• Email purchase orders to vendors and follow up
• Perform monthly inventory checks and update Imaint for accuracy of physical parts
• Put maintenance parts away upon receipt and maintain clean, organized files
• Enter daily maintenance tasks into the system
• Run reports of machine cost per month or as requested
• Produce all maintenance preventive-maintenance (PM) work orders in Imaint
• Accept and inspect all deliveries; distribute throughout the plant
• Receive all deliveries into Imaint and SAP
• Maintain maintenance inventory levels and obtain quotes for purchasing items; enter into Imaint
• Assist with 6S organization in designated areas
• Maintain parts inventory and the wastewater treatment system
• Operate a forklift
• Assist the Maintenance Manager with coordination, facilitation, and administration of all maintenance management systems
• Comply with company policies and procedures
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a related field
• Computer literate; proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior work experience in the corrugated industry or maintenance field
• Previous inventory control experience

Skills

• Ability to solve practical problems with limited standardization
• Ability to interpret instructions in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form

Physical Demands

• Regularly required to walk, talk, and hear
• Frequently required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms
• Occasionally required to sit
• Must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
• Vision requirements: close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus

Work Environment

• Frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, and fumes or airborne particles
• Noise level in the work environment is usually loud
